Regardless of ranking, Florida likes in-state receiver
On Friday Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington wide receiver Antonio Callaway and teammates made the drive up I-95 to the University of Florida to take part in the inaugural Will Muschamp 7-on-7 Camp.
This was the two-star wide out's first ever trip to the Swamp and he came away impressed with the Orange and Blue.
"It was cool," said Callaway. "I sat and talked to some coaches. I didn't really get to walk around much, but mostly was talking to the coaches."
When talking with the Florida staff they let him know just how much they covet him regardless of ranking or stars.
"They want me and they want me to come play here [at Florida]," said Callaway. "They asked me did I like it up here and I told them I liked it a lot."
The Gators offered the 5-foot-11, 175-pounder earlier this spring and are currently the team on top for his services. After getting on campus the Gators have lengthened their lead over the other programs in contention.
"I always liked the school ever since Percy Harvin and Jeff Demps were here," said Callaway of UF. "Coming here just boosted how much I like Florida it made me want to come here more."
"I like Florida, UM, Arkansas offered, Mississippi State offered, Cincinnati and West Virginia, but I like Florida."
Though the Gators are the team on top for this South Florida pass catcher he still is looking to take his recruiting process the distance and won't make a commitment until after taking official visits in the fall.
